It is very important for us to offer our employees continuous competence development. Much of the development will take place “in-house”, through casework and through courses organised by the Wiersholm School. In other contexts, it may be desirable to gain knowledge and experience from outside. For some, secondment will be more relevant, for others assistant judge leave will be useful.
Several of our employees have benefitted greatly from a period as an assistant judge. It contributes to professional development, both through procedural experience and through the opportunity to work in a broad range of legal disciplines. In addition, you gain good experience in working independently, by learning to make independent decisions and by leading court meetings.
