Wiersholm Summer School takes place over four days in August and is tailor-made for students considering a career as a business lawyer. The aim of the Summer School is not to pass a test – you have enough exams during your studies. Here, you are allowed to fail, to have a go at things and to ask questions. That is the best way to learn!

Wiersholm Summer School gives you a unique opportunity to meet with Wiersholmians and, not least, to make contacts with students from the universities in Bergen, Tromsø and Oslo, as well as the Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences in Lillehammer.

WSS was informative and exciting! The lecturers were competent and engaging, the cases very exciting, and the social events were very well organised, with good opportunities to get to know students and employees, both in the office, at dinners and at parties. WSS greatly exceeded my expectations

An eventful week

During the Summer School, you will get an insight into the challenges and tasks business lawyers are met with. In the course of the week, you will get the opportunity to have a go at, among other things:

  • Negotiation techniques
  • Practical dispute resolution and litigation
  • Witness psychology and hearing of witnesses
  • Fictitious negotiations and litigation training

There is a strong focus on the social aspect, and in the evenings, we have various team-building activities, funny exercises and nice dinners.

We can promise you an eventful, challenging and, not least, amusing week with many new acquaintances.

The whole arrangement was very good! All the employees were very including and accommodating, and I felt really welcome. I had a fantastic week!

Application

You should preferably have completed three years of your studies at the time of the course. Applications are accepted on a continuous basis, and due to the limited number of places, we recommend that you apply as soon as possible.
