Nordic Buy Out Forum 2023: The Changing Regulatory Landscape for M&A

Regulatory regimes such as foreign direct investment control (FDI) and the newly introduced Foreign Subsidies Regulation (FSR) on EU level are currently in focus for M&A practitioners globally.
This was highlighted when Wiersholm hosted the Nordic Buy Out Forum in Oslo in December 2023, one of the most important conferences for M&A practitioners in the Nordics with over 500 participants. Several speakers, including Karsten and Elisabeth, emphasised the increase in protectionism and regulatory requirements that pose challenges for M&A, along with potential strategies to navigate these issues.
