Wiersholm strengthens the partnership with four new partners
Wiersholm is pleased to announce the promotion of four new partners: Andreas Gustavson, Svanhild Vesterheim, Stian Advocaat Endre, and Theresa Schumacher Walberg. All have been recruited internally, with the changes effective from January 1, 2025. These promotions reflect the firm’s commitment to nurturing talent from within and enhancing service offerings in key practice areas.

“Andreas, Svanhild, Stian, and Theresa have distinguished themselves as incredibly skilled lawyers and have been pivotal figures in their respective fields for a long time. They are also very personable and highly regarded by our clients. It makes me especially proud to elevate talent from within our ranks. With these appointments, we continue to build a strong partnership and pave the way for future growth,” says Stephan L. Jervell, Managing Partner at Wiersholm.
Andreas Gustavson has been part of Wiersholm since 2021, making a significant impact in real estate transactions and renewable energy. With a solid background from both BAHR and Scatec ASA, Andreas brings a valuable combination of legal expertise and practical experience to the partnership. His detailed understanding of tax and corporate law has been crucial in many of his transactions.
Svanhild Vesterheim began her career at Wiersholm in 2013 and has since developed deep expertise in renewable energy and infrastructure. Her transition to the energy department in 2019 further strengthened her profile as a leading advisor in contract law and transactions. Her work includes extensive advisory and project management in complex projects within wind power, hydropower, and district heating. Svanhild is also known for her ability to navigate complex regulatory landscapes and has been instrumental in leading complex negotiations.
Stian Advocaat Endre has been with Wiersholm since 2012, with a brief stint at Nordea. Stian specializes in financial regulatory advice, where he has excelled in providing strategic guidance and support to regulated entities. His contributions to the finance department have been invaluable, especially during a time of increasing regulatory changes. Stian also has a strong academic profile, having published scholarly articles and undertaken teaching assignments and examination work at the University of Oslo.
Theresa Schumacher Walberg has quickly established herself as a leading expert in technology and digitalization since joining Wiersholm in 2015. Her extensive experience with complex IT contracts and digitalization initiatives has made her a sought-after advisor and speaker. Theresa also advises on the regulatory frameworks for the latest technological developments, such as the AI Act and legislation related to data and digital security.
The new partners reinforce Wiersholm’s commitment to professional excellence and leadership in legal advisory services. We are proud to have them on our team and look forward to their contributions to the firm’s continued success.
