Wiersholm is advising Eni on the merger of Eni Norge and Point Resources creating Vår Energi AS.

Wiersholm is advising the leading Italian energy company Eni on the merger of Eni Norge and Point Resources to create Vår Energi, which will be jointly owned by Eni (69.6%) and private equity funds advised by HitecVision (30.4%).

The new company will be a leading player in the upstream sector in Norway and have a total of about 800 employees, including both offshore and onshore staff.

The Wiersholm team advising Eni is headed by Erik Thyness, Kristian Martin Lind and Sondre Dyrland.
