Wiersholm named Norwegian Tax Litigation Firm of the Year at the ITR Tax Awards 2024

International Tax Review (ITR) has named Wiersholm the Norwegian Tax Litigation Firm of the Year at the annual Tax Awards for Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA). “This is a testament to the hard and systematic work put in every day by our tax litigation team,” says Andreas Bullen, Wiersholm partner and head of the firm’s tax department.

The ITR EMEA Tax Awards recognise outstanding achievements and developments among international tax professionals from the past 12 months. The awards are organised by the global news and analysis service, International Tax Review. The awards are based on submitted data and International Tax Review’s own research.

Our tax experts Bettina Banoun and Andreas Bullen were present at the award ceremony in London last night and received the award on behalf of the firm.

“We have a very strong tax litigation team in Wiersholm with long traditions. Our team is working on a large number of disputes in all areas of tax law, from the early stages of administrative processing to litigation before the Supreme Court. This is illustrated by the fact that our tax partners Morten Goller and Bettina Banoun currently have three tax cases pending before the Supreme Court. The award as Norwegian Tax Litigation Firm of the Year follows Wiersholm’s solid performance in the ITR World Tax Firm Rankings 2025 – an annual ranking of tax lawyers, where it was announced a few weeks ago that Wiersholm once again is top ranked in the categories General Corporate Tax, Tax Controversy, Transactional Tax and Transfer pricing.
