Managing partner Morten Goller collected the prize in London on Thursday evening.

The IFLR Awards is an annual award ceremony organised by the International Financial Law Review (IFLR). This year’s ceremony took place on Thursday 19 April at the Savoy Hotel in London.

About the “most innovative national law firm of the year” award: National firm awards will be given to the firm with the best track record in 2017 giving local law advice on the most innovative international corporate finance deals from the country in question. This includes debt, equity and equity-linked deals, high yield, securitisation and structured finance, M&A, private equity, project finance and restructurings.

– We are extremely happy to receive this important recognition from IFLR and see the award as proof that the work we do for our clients is successful. I am immensely proud of our talented Wiersholm team and the way they combine professional expertise and innovation, Morten Goller says.

IFLR is a market-leading financial law publication for lawyers in financial institutions, companies and private practice. It also publishes the magazine and lawyer ranking IFLR1000, which is read and used by business lawyers all over the world. IFLR’s surveys are based on market research and interviews with clients.

Wiersholm has been awarded top placements in the annual IFLR1000 rankings for many consecutive years. In addition, in February, we received the highest score out of all of the law firms in Norwegian financial daily Finansavisen’s lawyer survey for 2018, and last year, we were awarded the titles Nordic Law Firm of the Year (The Lawyer) and Norwegian Law Firm of the Year (Chambers Europe).
