Ethical Guidelines

Wiersholm is a leading business law firm in Norway. By virtue of our profession and leading position, we have a responsibility to conduct our business in a responsible and sustainable manner, while providing the highest quality advice to our clients.

We aspire to and build on leading international standards

Our Code of Conduct summarises what we expect from our employees, our partners and our management in the areas of human rights, sustainability and the environment, working environment and diversity, as well as ethics and compliance. The Code of Conduct supplements our other procedures and business principles, and is based on leading international standards for responsible business conduct, including the UN Global Compact, the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, and Norwegian Bar Association’s rules and guidelines.

We always strive to improve. The guidelines will therefore be reviewed annually, so that they are adapted to our requirements and expectations at all times.

A guideline for our daily operations

Our ethical guidelines are intended to guide our day-to-day activities, both in terms of how we conduct our internal operations and how we provide advice. The guidelines clarify the principles that underpin our role as an employer, as a provider of legal services and as a buyer and societal actor, and clarify the requirements we place on our employees as staff members, colleagues and lawyers in the areas of human rights, sustainability and the environment, working environment and diversity, as well as ethics and compliance.
